How articles are made
- We collect posts on X in which researchers, developers and manufacturers share new work.
- We follow each post to the paper, repository or official announcement it links to, and use those primary sources as the basis of the article.
- AI drafts the article in Japanese, split into what happened, how it works, numbers, practical impact, how to try it and open questions.
- Automated checks run before publication: every source URL must come from the collected material, X posts are verified to exist, long verbatim overlaps with sources are flagged, and conflict-of-interest notes are added automatically. Articles that fail any check are not published; those that pass are published automatically without prior human review. We correct errors promptly when they are reported.
- Each article lists primary sources separately from coverage, and links to the X post that surfaced the story. Other language versions are AI translations of the Japanese original.
Editorial policy
- We prioritize fields close to the operator's business (infrastructure inspection and surveying, 3D Gaussian Splatting formats and viewers, 4D and motion data, 3D documentation of cultural heritage, XR, games, physical AI). Selected stories are assessed and written to the same standard as any other.
- We do not write anything the sources do not support. Unknowns are marked as undisclosed or unconfirmed.
- Company figures (accuracy, speed, etc.) are presented as the company's claims.
- Comparisons with other products stay within publicly available facts.
- When we find an error, we correct the article and note the correction in it.
Use of AI
- We use AI (xAI's Grok X search) to find posts on X, and AI (Anthropic's Claude) to select stories, draft articles and translate them.
- The AI is instructed to use only facts stated in the sources; URLs not found in the sources are removed automatically. Every X post we cite is checked to exist.
- Articles are published after automated checks, not after line-by-line human review. Please consult the original sources, and tell us if you find a mistake.
- X posts are only a starting point. Articles are written from primary sources, and post text is never reproduced.
Advertising and conflicts of interest
- We currently publish no sponsored articles. If we ever do, they will be clearly labeled “PR” at the top.
- Links to the operator's own services are labeled “From the operator”.
- When a company that partners with the operator, or the operator's own service, appears in an article, the relationship is disclosed at the end of the article.
Corrections and removal requests
